The Winterized Insert will help decrease cold air leakage from the attic into the home when the QuietCool fan is not in use. The Winterized Insert is made up of a Vacuum Insulated Panel which contains an R value of 40. Combined with the QuietCool Pro Series fans, there will be an R45 barrier between the attic and living space in the off-season.
